Daniel Passer

Daniel has been a Clown and Comedy Conceptor for Cirque du Soleil and Dragone Entertainment. Credits include plays on Broadway and across the globe at venues such as Radio City Music Hall, The Beacon Theater, The Goodman, The American Repertory Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Madrid Stadium, Moscow Art Theatre and The Kremlin. He is a founding member of the international clown companies Your New Best Friends, Gods of Sex and The Rotten Plantains.  Most recently, Daniel performed with David Shiner in Juliette Dunn’s “The Puzzle” at The Hedgerow in Philadelphia and is touring Heading into Night, an interactive clown ode to loss and remembrance, with long-time collaborator Beth Milles, which premiered last year at The Cherry Arts in Ithaca, NY.  Daniel is currently the Associate Director of Performance and faculty of the Theater School at CalArts and has taught Commedia/Clown/Improvisation at Moscow Art Theatre, Cirque du Soleil, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Brown, Harvard, Cornell, Pace University and  the Actors Studio. 


Bianca Sapetto

Bianca launched her professional career when she was recruited as a performer and choreographer on tour in Cirque du Soleil’s production of Quidam where she performed 1001 shows.  Shortly thereafter, Emmy Award winning choreographer Debra Brown, cast her in her experimental dance company, Apogee, where she collaborated on the merging of theatrical circus and extreme modern dance for over 5 years.  For nearly a decade, Bianca was a lead performer, choreographer and associate director at Teatro Zinzanni, an interdisciplinary and immersive theater company that specializes in dismantling the fourth wall.  She performed alongside and choreographed such legends as Joan Baez, Thelma Houston, Liliane Montevecchi, and Sally Kellerman. Ms Sapetto’s physical acting expertise was engaged to push the boundaries of motion capture animation in her role as the AI robot AMEE in the film, The Red Planet as well as development for Matrix Reloaded and video games for Sony and Eyes Out.  She is a regular guest artist for Joan Sheckle’s filmmaking labs.  Other film credits include Water for Elephants, Disney’s Geppetto, and Rush Hour 2 where she became a member of Jackie Chan’s official stunt team.


Veronika Krausas

Veronika of Lithuanian heritage, composer Veronika Krausas was born in Australia, raised in Canada, and lives in Los Angeles. She has directed, composed for, and produced multi-media events that incorporate her works with dance, acrobatics and video. Krausas has music composition degrees from the University of Toronto, McGill University in Montreal, and a doctorate from the Thornton School of Music at USC in Los Angeles, where she is a faculty member in the Composition Department. She is a pre-concert lecturer and interviewer at the Los Angeles Philharmonic and serves on the advisory boards of Jacaranda Music and People Inside Electronics.  She was one of 6 composers involved in the acclaimed mobile opera Hopscotch. Alex Ross of the New Yorker called Hopscotch, “a remarkable experimental opera.” Her first opera, The Mortal Thoughts of Lady Macbeth, based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth, was premiered at the New York City Opera’s VOX 2008 festival. A full production was mounted in Los Angeles in August 2010 to sold-out audiences. Mark Swed of the Los Angeles Times said of her chamber opera, “Something novel this way comes.”
